The so-called “Asia challenge” is one that faces businesses across a variety of industries. The Asia-America Chamber of Commerce was formed to turn this “challenge” into opportunity.
In the summer of 2004, senior individuals from leading companies in Boston came together to discuss this pressing situation. Their clients, especially those mid-sized companies, needed assistance in capitalizing on the exciting opportunities in the Asia-America market, but did not know the best way to begin their research, make connections, find resources and accomplish their goals.
Individually, each person and each firm provided resources and connections. However, while these resources were plentiful, they were at times inadequate to cover the full spectrum of need for those interested in tapping into the Asian economy. Brainstorming led to the creation of a venue whereby business leaders can pool and share their resources, expertise, leads and opportunities among fellow mid-sized company CEOs and other C-level executives. Thus, Asia-America Chamber of Commerce was born.
These companies, today the founders and members of the board of the Asia-America Chamber of Commerce, represent a cross-section of the industries that drive global commerce, and serve as resources to Chamber members.
Our single purpose is to help mid-sized New England companies successfully compete in the Asia-America marketplace.
Asia-America Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization, comprised of an Executive Office, Board of Directors and CEO Advisory Board. Asia-America Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization.
The Chamber provides a variety of valuable resources, networking opportunities, relationship-building and in-country expertise to help companies in Asia and New England find mutual points to identify, grow and expand business opportunities.
